A songwriter, music producer, recording artist, and qualiﬁed architect, he was born and raised in Kaduna, a city in Northern Nigeria. His love for music, the arts, and technology, started at a very young age. In 1998, eLDee started the group Trybesmen and founded the first truly independent record label for contemporary urban music in Nigeria. He conceived the current largest physical distribution network for music and movies in west Africa by designing and executing a business model that has since generated billions of dollars. As head of Trybe Records and leader of Trybesmen, eLDee re-engineered contemporary urban African music into the genre most recognizable as Afro-hip hop/Afro-pop/Afro-beats.
Making a bold relocation to the united states in 2002, his technology interests developed into active experience building. As an interactive media developer, Lanre won numerous national awards that acknowledge his creativity and leadership skills.
